Anti-vaxxers
Anti-vaxxers are people who believe
vaccines are dangerous and actually give you the disease they are fighting off or just believe vaccines are dangerous in general. The first reason why
anti-vaxxers started thinking like this is that a FRAUDULENT doctor claimed there was a link between
MMR and Autism, from an experiment between 12 children. That doctor has been fired. There have now been studies of over 1,000,000 children and there has been no link between MMR and Autism...

Noun: A
sub-cult of
anti-science, Google researchers that, when gathered in groups, have the innate ability to reduce their collective IQ to a level proportional to the inverse of the collective sum. Also usually have a strange obsession with marmot feces and believe it will protect them from contracting Autism during their adult lives since the practice of rolling around in it has been
anecdotally linked with their ability to not contract autism as adults.

Example:
Anti-vaxxers on Twitter cite studies they don't understand and articles from sites like Mercola,
Natural News and Stephanie
Seneff's.
Anti-vaxxers lack comprehension of basic
immunology, biology and human decency.

A person
dead set on listening to conspiracy theories about "Big Pharma" and ignoring all evidence to the contrary. Hallmarks of your typical
anti-vaxxer include a staggeringly
overinflated ego, pervasive selfishness, and insistence that they know more than real doctors/researchers because they read mommy blogs. An anti-vaxxer is also likely to view children as their property with no medical rights of their own (MY child, MY choice).
Example:
Joe: Why do things like measles and
pertussis still kill people today?
Martha: Because
anti-vaxxers only care about themselves and their "rights" to control their children. Science has eradicated these diseases - it's too bad it's fashionable for anti-vaxxers to
flout science and make their children suffer with preventable diseases.
