Cough Assist
The cough assist is a device used to help patients who don't have a strong cough due to a nuromuscular disease such as Spinal Muscular
Atrophy, or Pulmonary Muscular Atrophy. It delivers positive pressure on the lungs, and puts air into the lungs via a
facemask, mouthpiece, or endotracheal/tracheostomy tube adpater, and then once the positive pressure is in the lungs it swiches to negative pressure thus simulating a cough.
