Cross country
what takes so much effort and indurance,
a sport which is one person against everyone else, but
in the end it's just you.
You're in it for you. We run over 10 miles every day and can deal with more pain than you could ever imagine. Don't make fun of us. We can beat your asses any day, bitch.

The most fucking overrated sport of all time, that's also more difficult than any other sport ever (yes, even football). It is terrible, high maintenance, and for you to be a good
xc runner you need so much endurance, practice and stamina, because if you don't, you're fucked because they're absolutely
NO breaks*/timeouts/
whatnot during the races and even the practices.
*includes water breaks.
Example:
Damn cross country is so fucking hard and
tiring, my friend had an
asthma attack and almost died while doing a race. Fuck

the ultimate
endurance sport. Its a 3.1 mile sprint across the worst trails possible. It takes brains to decide when to speed up, or hold back, also to execute a race plan. it takes the ultimate mental strength to continue. Do not
knock on cross country until you have run the 3.1 miles in under 19 minutes.

Cross country is a sport that if you run it, you must be down with being gay (in a joking way) by doing things such as: showering with another guy, jerking off with other dudes, and running with 90% of your body exposed. Anyone who is successful in running has done acid or another kind of psychedelic drug. Runners are the most insane, amazing people you will ever meet and often times will be nominated
class clown, and will go to jail for
grand theft or
shoplifting.

A sport in which requires dedication and the will to want to run everyday. Those who run are the only ones who can fully understand how great it is. Though training is hellish, the reward more than makes up for it. People often criticize the sport, but this is because they are ignorant, or maybe even jealous. They say that it is only running and laugh at the small shorts.
Cross Country is not nearly as popular as football or baseball, but the fans who come and watch are like no others. Very often, people cannot comprehend why we run and see running as a punishment. It is these people who could never realize, and shall never realize why we
do what we do. It is not
for glory, but for self satisfation. Cross Country requires more physical and mental strength than other sports.
Example:
normal kid: "Dang, today we have to run in PE. I knew I shouldn't have came to school."
Cross Country runner: "Hey, let's go run 5 miles."

Bill
Bowerman: "Running, one might say is basically an absurd pastime upon which to be exhausting ourselves. But if you can find meaning in the kind of
running you have to do to stay on this team chances are you can find meaning in another absurd pastime . . . Life"
