A fangirl is mostly described as a woman between the ages of 14-17 with an overobsession for something that is not real, is real (but is unlikely possible to hook up with him), or maybe even both things of the matter. Most of them screams words such as "OMG, HE IS SO HOT" or "HE IS SUPER CUTE BEYOND BELIEF! MARRY ME BABY!"

Not all fangirls are as awful as the ones of the rabid fangirl. Some fangirls can be actually be QUITE smart and cute, and sometimes can even control their extreme OBSESSION for the person of their affection. Most of the times, I am alright with these kind of fangirls.

Also, rabid fangirls tend to also hate the person that is around the person they obsess over.

A fangirl is a girl, normally in the age range of 12-19 that almost becomes obsessed with either a fictional character/actor/band to the extent that they maybe have posters of their desire on their walls, quote them constantly and rave about them to their friends. Fangirls tend to join together in groups to 'Fangirl' with others about the same interests and desires. This may take place through twitter or livejournal.

When fangirls uncover a new fact/video etc. about/containing their desire, they may end up with increased body temperature, constant smiling and changing emotions, a loss of bodily control (Waving their arms around, jumping up and down) and squealing to convey their emotions. In severe cases, fainting may occur, for instance, if someone was to meet their desire such as a celebrity.

A species of the female race that many are convinced are rabid or mentally unstable, who will scream over any little thing their idol says does or thinks, and who often gather together in packs they call fandoms online with people they have never met, and sometimes these fangirls will even faint from happiness if they see their idol. Never get near one in the same place as their idol, they will deafen you and make you wish you were six feet under with their screams. You'll hear strange babbling nonsense come out of their mouths as the fangirling slowly drives them insane until their brains crack and they freak out completely and that is why you have to be very careful about taking girls to concerts.

A female who is overly obsessed with something such as a tv show ,celebrity,person.

A female (Woman or Girl) usually between the ages of 10-20, that has taken a liking to a certain male character in a TV Show, Movie, or more commonly, Anime and Manga. This "type" of female is WIDELY misunderstood as being a murderous type of people who will rest at absolutely, positively NOTHING to be the ONLY one with this fictional character/celebrity. They are "known" to write horrible fanfiction, wear shirts and logos of said obessesion, cosplay a lot, and be very unattractive, girly, Terrible spelling and grammar, and an otaku (Japanese person obbessesed with computers and has no social life).

That is a *huge* misconception. There are, yes, many fangirls that give us bad names. Fangirls can be girls who yes, have an obessesion for said person/thing. They consist of watching youtube videos consisting of said person/thing, wearing T-shirts of said obessesion, normal, cosplay sometimes, writing some fanfiction/roleplaying, and read/re-read/watch/re-watch said obbession.

A fangirl is a girl which has an obsession or is very passionate about a specific topic , now this word sometimes is used with a negative meaning and fangirls are usually mocked and bantered, considered people affected by some kind of mental illness probably because sometimes their behavior is over-excited or because they express strong emotions for things that people don’t usually recognize important but this debate is mostly among points of view. Being a fangirl doesn’t only affect the way you socialize but also what you wear, what you buy, your priorities ecc.. all of this might sound a little bit extreme but being a fangirl is often considered also like a particular kind of lifestyle. Every fangirl belongs to one or more fandoms which are groups of people that share the same passion about a specific topic, there are lots of different fandoms that can relate to everything like singers, movies, books, actors ecc..
Fandoms are usually part of social networks and link people from different countries that share the same interest.

Fangirls have a specific vocabulary to communicate their emotions, who they think should get in relationship, more specific genres of stories ecc…

An illness transmitted by reading good books and watching good shows etc.

-recommending book/show etc to others
