Masturbation Act of 1934
The Masturbation Act of 1934 prohibited
public masturbation on Sundays until after
nightfall. A consequence of the law was the creation of private masturbation clubs that allowed patrons to masturbate in front of others while not technically in a public place. Ultimately the law was overturned by the U.S.
Supreme Court in 1935 - Johnson vs. Iowa.
