A fifty-fifty is an alcoholic beverage containing one half Dubra (about 2 shots worth) and half Hawaiian Punch. This generally fills about half a Solo cup. It's possible to make this with other low-shelf vodka' the point of the 50-50 relationship is that this beverage is only for those with high tolerance for bad alcohol. Two Fifty-Fifties will get a person tipsy. Blame the dirty dubes.

This was a phrase said back in the early mid 90s as a game. If someone messed up something that they would normally try to play off or correct they would have to say "Fifty." If someone else said "No Fifty" before the person said "Fifty" you would get to take your hand and swipe it really hard across the back of their neck giving them an Indian Rug burn if you will (one swipe with a lot of pressure to create friction so that it hurts). Another common form is saying the phrase "No take backs". {Used in the Maryland area.. don't know about other areas}

Example:
John: Ah dude 2+2 = 5
Bob: No Fifty
John: Crap
Bob swipes hand across the back of John's neck.

Fifty caliber.. a round of ammunition the bullet of which is a half inch (12.7mm) in diameter.

A common .50 cal round is the .50 BMG (Browning Machine Gun), the round which is (unsurprisingly) designed for the Browning .50 caliber machine gun.

The BMG itself is the large belt-fed machine gun known as a Ma Deuce. It was invented at the time of WWII but has remained in manufacture to this day because it is a very sound and effective design which it would be kinda hard to really improve on.

Now however there are a lot of other guns, including shoulder-fired rifles and even a single-shot pistol, firing the BMG round.

Fifty can also refer to the weapon used to fire .50 caliber ammuntion.

Example:
The Huey door gunner grinned and opened up on the Viet geurillas with his fifty.
