hwæt
An Old English word often used at the beginning of a poem to indicate that all prior speech is to end as the new narrative begins.Common translations include:
Hark, Lo, Wait, What, Listen, So, Now, Hey!, Hey you,
Check it, Shut the fuck up, Look at Me! Look at Me!, Everyone listen to me right now or I'll tear you apart broken bone-locking by blood-drenched

hwæt is a better/older version of one of the most over-used and over-saturated words, "what". it
curses me to even speak of it's name, but I must for you. to use hwæt is like your
first kiss, or every time you meet a new crush. Or every time you get married. Or any time you decide to
f*ck your dog.
Example:
wot: wot
WAT:
WAa
what: what the hell
hwæt, an intellectual: pick le'
rickle.
