A random fact brought up in conversation that may or not be correct but is
stated as fact. The "fact" is
assumed to be true merely because it is stated
factually and there is no real evidence to disprove it.

85% of statistics that come up in conversation
on the spot?
John:

masc, Brit, EU. A
dark horse. Named after a small, remote island off the Devon/Cornish coast of the UK. Infers the named is insignificant and distant but is actually rugged, strong and like a rock but has a propensity to talk absolute BS to the opposite sex, unknowingly fluffing for his best mates. Will always walk home alone gesticulating like an Italian. Latin name:
rattus rattus smallus
cockus. Eng- brown rat with tiny appendage.
