Flushing someone’s head in a toilet. This prank is done by the
jocks to
humiliate nerds. It is very stressful and uncomfortable being the receiver of this prank.
Example:
I always get
swirlies because the jocks of the soccer team want to
punish me for being a nerd. During the whole day after a swirly my hair is wet and when the toilet had poop in it, i smell shit. But I am
getting used to it because anyways I still have a lot of years before graduating.

Also takes place in the UK. There, is is referred to as "
The Flush" or an "Initiation Ceremony".

swirls all around your head.
Example:
In high school I used to give this kid named Eric
swirlies in his own piss. I would sneak up on him while he was
taking a piss, wait for him to finish, then
grab him before he could flush and shove his head in for a good long while. Yup, He got a lot of piss swirlies.
