The friend zone

When a girl decides that you're her friend, you're no longer a dating option. You become this complete
non-sexual entity in her eyes, like
her brother, or a
lamp.

Example:
Bob: "I can't believe Ashley (skinny, popular girl) put me in
the Friend Zone! I was nice to her all this time, and she still says we're just 'friends!' But friendship is what a a romantic relationship is built on!"
Kaylee (overweight, average-looking girl): "Well Bob, you and me are friends too, and I'm single."
Bob: I... uh... erm..... but I don't wanna
ruin our friendship Kaylee.

A term many guys (and some girls) use when they have been rejected, whether it is straight out or inadvertently said. People tend to
claim it is the other person's fault and/or that they are a "
friendzoning bitch" despite the fact that the person may really only like them as a friend, which is a
false move seeing as that person believes they should fake feelings and be in a relationship.
Example:
Girl1: Thanks,
you're a great friend!
Guy1: Did you seriously just friend zone me?
Girl1: Excuse me?
Guy2: Will you go out with me?
Girl2: I'm sorry. I just don't like you
in that way, you're a friend.
Guy2: Not anymore, bitch. I'm
the nice guy unlike the jerks you date.
Girl2: Excuse me?
Guy3: So Susie totally friendzoned me today.
Guy4: Aw, that sucks, man.

The point at which you can no longer date a girl. She has told
you too many secrets, or you took too long to make
your move.
You are now in
the friends zone, and there is no return.
Example:
Guy - Hey girl,
I've been thinking, we've been getting along pretty good now and I want to
take you out on a date, I really like you.
Girl - Awwww I think you're a really nice, sensitive, understanding guy, but I love you like a friend. So, just friends?
Guy - (thinks) Damn I'm in
the friends zone.

Basically a very embarrassing situation both parties would probably like to forget. This can happen to ANYONE (
Who the hell cares about gender? This can happen to homosexuals, too. Not only straight people want to find love).
A asks out B,
but B doesn't want to
complicate the relationship they already have (because maybe they're good friends, and no one likes loosing the chemistry or bond they have with a close friend).
In other words, not wanting to be more than just friends with someone that has feelings for you that are beyond friendship.
Example:
------------------------------------------------
Example:
"Hey, B.
I like you. I've liked you for quite a while now, actually. Will you go out with me?"
"WHAT? Uh, I-I can't do that, A.
I'm sorry. I just want us to stay friends. Nothing more..."

When someone
rejects another when asked out. Many
friend-zoned people suffer from extreme
butthurt over being friend-zoned, so cold and bitter definitions are posted on dictionary sites like this one. They also don't seem to understand that a man/woman has the right to reject someone if they see them only as a friend.
