A girl who is overly obsessed with a manga or anime usually. They can go on and on....and on.....about what ever.

A girl that obsesses over a boy band and needs to be disposed of immediately. Fan Girls will typically scream so loud that your ears will start bleeding and your ear drums will be projected out of your ears and flung 2 miles until they land on some old lady's cat. If you ever see a fan girl, run as far away as possible and call your nearest pest control.

A girl so obsessed with everything that America stole from Japan, Inkheart,or any book by Dina Meyer. Except Power rangers and toy robots

2.Claim they own (a) certain male celebrity(ies)
3.Always are a nuisance.
4.Create notebooks full of pictures they printed.Otherwise, wasting ink.
5. Good for the economy (because they buy more ink)
6. Obsessive females that turn into groupies or are alredy groupies.
7. Females that get angered with the fact that other Females say they own their certain celebrity and briskly say' She wishes.I own him I own him!!'

Fangirls may also appeal to female celebrities.

Any girl extremely obsessed with any celebrity, t.v. show, movie, book, or other entertainment/media who is participating in fan actitivities such as message boards, fanfiction, or conventions.

Has been used in the past as derogatory but has become less and less in certain fandoms. Fan girling frequently happens with large amounts of squee.

The noun would be fangirl or occasionally fengirl, though the later is usually used as plural.

Typically a teenage girl with an obsession towards something: a show, movie, book, person, etc. There are three types of these fan girls:

Normal fan girl:
Perfectly normal girl, may even be pretty. Has an obsession, but keeps it to herself. Might read fanfiction, have a blog dedicated, several merchandise related to this obsession. Safe to approach.

Crazy fan girl:
Relatively normal girl, sometimes pretty. Really enjoys her obsession. May talk about it every once and a while. Reads fanfiction daily, and writes it. Dedicates 1-2 hours of her life to this obsession. Owns several pieces of merchandise. Cosplays every once and a while. Approach with caution.

Completely insane fan girl:
Needs to go to a mental facility, usually does not care about beauty in any way. Rarely pretty. Loves her obsession (typically anime) more than anything in the world. If you took away her internet access, she would retreat to her army of merchandise related to her obsession. But, after a few hours, would die of lack of fanfiction. Cosplays almost every weekend. Dedicates 6-7 hours of her life to her obsession. Spends the rest of it thinking/dreaming about it. If you encounter this type of fan girl, call the police immediately. DO NOT APPROACH.

known to squeal, giggle, scream, and stay up to ungodly hours of the night obsessing over, but not limited to: a book, tv show, movie, or some excessively hot celebrity

a group of overly and frighteningly obsessive females who basically worship (a) certain celebrity(ies)- often males, mostly for their look(s).

They would do almost anything to get attention from their idol(s), especially if they are internet stars.

A fan girl can be easily recognised:
"OMG! I LOVE YOU. CAN I PLEASE HAVE YOUR BABIES?"

most common use of fan girls:
- to gain ridiculously high popularity on online websites. E.g. tumblarity tumblr; followers twitter, dailybooth; subscribers youtube; etc.

a girl who is obsessed with a band to the point of wanting to sleep with the singer/guitarist/sound tech/other random member, regardless of a 15-year age gap and the engagement/marriedness of said member. see also teenie.
