Filipino Time

An excuse for
arriving anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours late to any party, meeting, or hanging out. Only exclusive to
Filipinos, this is the standard time any Filipino will
arrive to. Many people of other races hate it, because most of them will arrive on the marked time.
Example:
Jack: Dude, where's Nick?
Paul: Oh, he's on
Filipino time. Expect him
in a few minutes to a few hours.
- a few hours later -
Nick:
Sup guys!
Jack: Dude, WTF? Why are you so late?
Nick: Filipino time.

means always late ... a filipino culture ... its like always coming late to a meeting ... especially
in parties or when friends are going out ... most of the time
1 hour late or even more ... and when you call them they will lie that they are on their way already and
almost there ... but the fact is that they are still @ home getting prep up...
Example:
Pinay 1: (on the phone) where are you already you're already an hour late?
Pinay 2: (still
getting dressed @ home) I'm on my way there i'm near already...
Pinay 1: Ok!
make haste!

When
Filipinos arrive to a party two to four hours late because they hate to be the first ones there. If you have Caucasian friends, they will most likely disregard "Filipino Time" and arrive at
the set time.

Example:
Mark wants to start his show at exactly 8:00PM and expects everyone to be there already. Since his audience might consist of Filipinos, he announces his show to start at Filipino
Savings Time (
FST) 7:00PM instead, taking to consider the usual
Filipino Time.
