A free dating website where you take surveys to see if you are compatable, however no matter how hard you try you will always get stuck with some fat chick, and all the hot chicks have too high of standards. Also If you get a decent hot chick who has a high percentage rate with you they usually will not respond or say "ew"

dude 2: well dont talk to her
dude 1: she keeps messaging me man I'm gonna block her
dude 3: you guys need to go meet chicks at a bar like normal people

The OkCupid effect is when you think someone is attractive because everyone in the room is unattractive. The prettiest of the uglies.

Example:
It is called the OkCupid effect because while browsing OkCupid sometimes you catch yourself finding someone attractive but you are unsure. The reason you are unsure is because while they are the most attractive thing on OkCupid they do not actually meet your real life standards. Another example is if you are in a bar and every girl in there is ugly. The cutest one out of all the ugly talks to you and you begin to think she's attractive. You better get out! She's not actually attractive it's just the OkCupid effect setting in.

Example:
