This is the DC metro area. DMV stands for DC,Maryland,Virginia. The whole DMV listens to gogo music which originated in DC. We love northface gear and mambo sauce in chinese carry-outs. We rep our hood to da fullest cuz aint no other place like us anywhere in the US. Our whole swag and slang and music and clothes is different from everybody else. I can go on and on bout us but i'm not.

Stands for D.C. , Maryland, and Virginia area. Mostly used by radio commentators.

Another word for the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Another way to describe it is to note where the D.C. Metro train takes it riders. (any area outside that MAP is not considered the DMV area.)
Example:
He's from Bmore, he a bamma, he not from the DMV.

Possibly the worst department ever created/designed. U walk in and u wait for 7 hours just for them to direct u to another window to wait 8 hours. aka the worst place ive ever stepped into in my whole life.
Example:
Wife: Honey, how was the dmv?
Me: Great I only had to wait 5 hours instead of 15 this time!!!
Wife: Wow!!!!!! they must have been working really fast today

The DMV stands for the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. Although we are viewed as one collective culture we are very divided. Dc and pg are very similar apposed to the rest of Maryland. Dc being the realest (most hood) with pg playing catch up. Apart from pg most of Maryland is suburban. Gogo music is a city(dc) thang but many parts of Maryland fuck wit it too. VA stands alone completely different can't tel u bout them. Baltimore even though it is really a part of Maryland its not considered that by us its just bmore, we don't fuck with each other for some reason. From the D to the M to the V different niggas different hoods different ways of life and different slang and style. Any hood in dc could have different slang then the rest. We all think we got the best style and AINT NOBODY FUCKIN WIT US.almost every other nigga sell Pac if u sell Reggie you need to do better. The phrase"no love in my city" stands strong in dc because we only fuck with day 1s or A1s. Jacs backwoods carryout and mambo sauce. Fuk u mean

a term used to refer to DC, Maryland, Virginia as a unit. Origin is disputable - but started being used widely circa 2009 in radio spots, gogo music (Wale, Mambo Sauce) and for party promotion. The masses embrace the term, while many NATIVE and TRUE Washingtonians resent it.

A level of hell derived from "The Divine Comedy" also reffered to as "Dante's Inferno", in this level, people are forced to stand in line for un-holy amounts of time, in order to get the simplest of tasks done. After standing in one line, they will be re-directed to another line and told "they are in the wrong line" after waiting 9 hours.
Example:
for raping and killing nearly 100 little boys, the poor man was sent to the 9.5th level of hell....the DMV...poor soul...
