over-achiever
1: A person who is motivated by their ideals. An intra-competitive person often marked by abandoning that which hinders their ideals.
2: One who strives for various degrees of near perfection. see H.U.M.A.S.
3: Someone that desires more than is needed.

Example:
The over-achiever would not get married until she found the perfect father for her future babies. She died alone in her early fifties.

A co-worker that lures you in to thinking that mediocrity is commonplace at the office. Just when you think you are both on the same page he or she will make look bad by putting together elite spreadsheets, cutting edge PowerPoints, and insightful talking points at meetings.

One who should be in a higher position/class, but chooses not to be for the sake of easier work, social status/life, lower expectations, or just so they can feel dominant compared to their dumbed down fellow students/workers.

Example:
Michelle's such an overachieving underachiever, she should be in academic algebra, but chose applied algebra for easier work, and is now making the entire applied algebra class look stupid.

Diego chose to stay at the crappy Seneca college just because most of his friends are going to it, even though he was accepted by Harvard University.
