The model used by white rich kids all over in frats. Many of the terms you may find in these two groups are synonomous. Crackhouse is to gangs as Frathouse is to frats. Both go through initiation. Gang members rape, frat boys date rape. etc.
Example:
I was gonna be in the Bloods, but I had to settle for Delta Kappa Epsilon, the second most hardcore gang in Wyoming.

A group of try hard losers who think they are awesome because they consider themselves "ganstas". It's an image that make them look "oh so strong" when really they are pathetic whimps who hide behind this "gang", no more than a childish club, so that people "respect" them. Without this image they no longer get the attention they crave.
Example:
No more than a gathering of beggars who formed a club for themselves to help get the attention they seek.

In my eyes the word 'gang' means a group of youths that walk around together and who think they are big hard men - this also means they are just cowards that cant fight their own battles and need the help of others - to add to this they commit crimes.
Example:
'A gang of youths kicked and punched a man to death in the early hours of this morning'

A group of close people that run in a pack. Usually once your in a gang and past the initiation, you'll only escape the gang thru death. Gangs represent themselves with certain colors, hand signs, symbols, and clothing. Commit violent acts against betrayers and members of rival gangs. ex: Drive-by shootings (even if its a rival's momma's house), fighting, knife-fights, shoot-outs, etc. Also can be vandilists to homes, public places, etc. leaving their gang symbol to "represent" or as a calling-card to a rival.
Example:
Crips and tha bloods. 2 of the most violent and feared gangs in America. #1 city they reside in: Los Angeles.
