one of the guys
The female version of the friendzone. This phrase is used to indicate a female who is viewed as a platonic, non-sexual entity to a male or group of male friends. The moment a female is referred to as "
one of the guys", she becomes aware that if she has any romantic feelings towards any of the males in the group (or, specifically, the male who referred to her
in that way)--it is a
moot point. Her male friends will come to her to talk about their bad relationships or advice on what gifts to get their girlfriends. If she does get a boyfriend outside of the group, they may find it very difficult to accept her any longer--as there is now competition for her time--and it may bring about the abrupt realization that she is, in fact, a "girl".

When a girl tries so desperately hard to impress a guy(s), she engorges her self in all of their specific interests, making sure that she knows everything about everything so that she has a solid
conversation piece to use around them. Thus becoming "
just one of the guys," and losing any chance of ever dating one of them. Usually resulting in excessive weight gain, pony tails, and
gollum bangs.
Example:
"Hey, um, I was thinking maybe you and I could go play
Fallout 3 at my house some time this week, and possibly go to dinner or something afterwards...? <3333"
"Well, that sounds like fun.. But I just want to be clear.. I think we're better as friends.. I've
known you so long- I actually think of you more so as
just one of the guys."

A guy who always has to
one-up everything anyone says or does. If you say you ran a 5 minute mile, he ran a 4 minute mile. If you say you went swimming this weekend, he'll tell you he's a certified
lifeguard and swims every weekend. If you say you made coffee this morning, one-up guy will tell you that he grew, harvested, roasted, ground, and brewed his coffee. Usually the one-up explanations are long-winded, boring, and
self-serving. Most of the one-up explanations are probably lies.
Example:
"I was telling him about my
ski trip to
Taos.
One-up guy over there spent 20 minutes talking about how he used to be a ski instructor in Taos. I hate
one-up guy."

sizable chat gives attention to a
chatter by
arguing with that chatter as if that chatter speaks for a large amount of chat.
Example:
XQC and
Malena tend to go on long
rants because they let themselves get one-guyed often. It's annoying because you can sit there for minutes wondering who they're talking to.

Vinesauce Twitch streamer when only a single person says they're either having sound or video issues, or when they suggest that something could be done in the game
Joel is playing, but it actually can't be done.
Example:
Random person in chat: "
Joel your
stream is
lagging, please fix"
Joel: "Is the stream lagging?"
Everyone other than the first guy in chat: "Nope"
Joel: "One guy? Alright..." *continues to stream*
