An arab is a person who speaks arabic as first language with an arab cultural background. It's not about ethnicity.

Arabs form a distinct yet diverse ethnic group, unified by the fact that most (although not all) speak one of the many dialects of the Arabic language. The majority of Arabs are Muslims, although many are Christians, and a small but growing number are atheists.
Countries in which the majority of the population are ethnically Arabs include Western Sahara, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Yemen, Oman and Kuwait.
There are also approximately 12 million Arabs in Brazil, 1.4 million in the State of Israel and 1.2 million in the USA. In the USA, only 24% of Arabs are Muslims, while 63% are Christians (most of the rest are nonreligious).
Only about 2% of the population of Iran are Arabs, with the majority of the population being Persians (who are completely different to Arabs). Less than 1% of the population of Afghanistan are Arabs, with the majority being Pashtuns (who are also completely different).

Someone who lives in the Middle East or has Arabic decent

A group of people who were born in the Middle East. Not everyone there is Muslim, there are a lot of Christians too. Iraq, Iran, Yemen, and Syria are all in the Middle East, of course there are way more too.

A member of the Arabic people, who inhabit the Middle East. Often targeted by the American media as terrorists, the people for whom to blame our problems upon. Many Arabs are of the Islamic faith, although there are many other religious groups as well. Stereotyped as turban-wearing, grinning madmen carrying AK47s, Arabs have contributed greatly to modern society and formed many great empires in the past.

A person with a Arab heritage, or who speaks Arabic. Usually from the Middle East or North Africa.

*NOTE* Persian/Iranians are NOT arab. Most Iranians actually find it offensive if you call them Arab.

A small city in north Alabama, south of Huntsville, Alabama. The town was to be named after Arad Thompson, but the postal service messed that up, and nobody cared enough to try and get it fixed so the name just kinda stuck.

Normal people who have cultural similiraties and are found in North Africa and Easten Europe and Western Asia. Their skin colors vary from pink to olive to brown. The true arabs are from countries such as iraq, the arabs that are mixed the most are from gulf countries. Arabs from gulf countries are mixed with africans, persians, and indians because of trading etc. generally, true arabs have light olive skin with dark hair and dark eyes. Being a blonde arabs does NOT mean you are mixed with European. It's actually the opposite, since europeans come from arabs and there is evidence to prove it. All arabs speak arabic, if you don't speak arabic, you are considered an outsider since you abandoned your language. Arabs are mostly christians and Muslims. Christians and Muslim arabs lived peacefully for centuries until imperialism spreaded and the zionists started seperating them. Arabs are the most oppressed people in the world, but that's because they are dumb and do not want to work together in an organized manner. Please don't get me wrong, I am arab myself.
Arabs look like people from spain, Argentina, Greece, Italy, france, and white, if they shaved their beards and dressed like westerners, and gulf arabs generally look like indians (because of trade), pakistanis, persians, and africans. North African arabs, look like berbers and black but some look white.

A supporter of the Dundee United Football Club which is based in Tannadice Park in the city of Dundee, Scotland. The team itself is known as the Tangerines due to the bright orange colour of their strips. Founded in 1909, originally as a team for the local Irish Catholic community, Dundee United has since widened its appeal. Arabs perhaps haven't always been the happiest of supporters because their chosen team has usually taken on the role of underdog, but apparently they have a 100% record against Barcelona in competitive European ties. Arabs may or may not speak Arabic as their first language but generally they speak English or Scots, albeit, if they come from Dundee, most likely a peculiar form of speech found only within the confines of that city.
