College Whore

A term to describe High School students who imprudently assume college to be an end-all victory medal, occasionally to be shared with compensating parents. College whores tend to be: over studious, impersonal, insensitive, cutthroat, and over zealous. They may join sports, clubs, or participate in other activities not due to interest, but rather to be more "well rounded", and may care more about grade point average than any other human being in their life.

Paradoxically, college whores rarely get into their desired schools.

"What the heck? I'm president of 3 clubs, I have perfect grades and SAT scores, and I've volunteered for a thousand hours. Why didn't I get into Harvard?"

"You dumbass. Didn't you know that college whores don't get into college?"

"Oh well, I'll just major in poli sci somewhere else."

An annoying high school senior who gets into a top college EA but then insists on applying to every single other school on the face of the planet for regular decision, just to see where else they can get in.

Example:

a stupid high school student (usually a girl but in rare cases a homosexual guy) who will do anything imaginable to get into a college. This includes but is not limited to: Peer counseling, dumbass clubs, boy scouts, girl scouts, community service, sports they dont like ect. If you confront them on why they are doing what they are doing they will say "its for college" At which point you should make fun of the fact they are ugly. College whore

A person who

1) lives outside the United States

2) surround their lives around standardized tests (SAT, SAT II, ACT)

3) try everything to get into a college (usually Ivy League), and does the actions at the expense of other people's well-being

4) retake 2300/2400 SAT scores

5) talk non-stop about AP exams during recess, lunch-time, after school, sports practices (many don't do sports), family dinner, shower, & part of their daily prayers before they go to bed

6) attend multiple private tutoring centres and boast about the greatness of his/her tutor

7) worships the phrase "___, what is your overall average GPA?"

8) does every bit of available volunteer activity, thinking that it will boost their university applications

9) wastes thousands of dollars on university visits and end up getting rejected from most of them

person 2: shut up you US College Whore

person 1: I did 15 APs. I got 14 5s and 1 4. Am I fucked for Harvard?

College Resume Whore

This is a term for a kid in high school who will do pretty much any charitable act or good deed just so it appears on his or her resume and may boost his or her chances of getting into the college of their choice. The college of their choice is usually Ivy League and the typical College Resume Whore is someone who's mother still packs their lunches and who says they can be anything they want to be - as long as they get into a top school.
To be a true College Resume Whore (or CRW) the person must be doing the volunteering and good deeds for the sole purpose of loading up their resumes so that colleges will think they are a Saint and accept them. If someone is volunteering just because they enjoy volunteering they are not CRWs, they are a classic nerd or just a genuinely good person.

Example:
College Resume Whore: YES! I've been accepted to MIT, I guess volunteering all those hours slopping food onto old people's plates at the retirement home was worth it to seal this deal!

Volunteer recruiter: OK, so this volunteer work requires you to wipe all the brown stains that the washing machines won't take out of these kid's underwear. Once you've done that you can read them stories until their parent's pick them up from daycare. The parent's should be arriving in five hours, I hope you like Dr. Seus!

College Resume Whore: Shiiit, this better get me into that Ivy League school! I will not take going to a state school, Ivy League school's just sound better, I must go there at all costs!!!
