A while back, at the Cincinnati Zoo, a young child intentionally fell into the Gorilla Pit. A 17 year-old gorilla named "Harambe" tried to save the child, but onlookers and zoo security believed that Harambe was attempting to kill the child. Harambe was shot and pronounced dead on the scene. Shortly after the tragic events, Internet memes began to rise from all over the Internet. People had things that say "Dicks out for Harambe," or "Harambe for President 2016," things like that. A lot of people find this meme funny, though they are still trying to support the gorilla god, whose name is Harambe. Harambe is love. Harambe is life.

The "dick" in the phrase "dicks out for Harambe" is referencing obscure street slang for a handgun. The suggestion is that we need to bring full arms to bear in order to avenge the 2016 killing of the silverback gorilla, Harambe.

Naturally people decided it would be hilarious to make a joke out of the entire thing; including "dicks out for Harambe" which jokingly requests readers of the meme to hang their penis outside of their pants as a sign of, confusingly, "respect" for Harambe.

Aside from strange references towards male genitalia, people have made a meme out of the name itself. It's not uncommon to see the username Harambe/some variant of it, or people making up stories about him: "he's the gorilla god", "he's still alive", etc.

It is a responsibility for us, human beings, to pay respect to our fallen hero harambe, you simply take your dick out as a sign of loyalty and to raise self awareness of all the marvelous things harambe did for us while he was on this planet.
