An awesome psychedelic/rock/electronic/dancy/pop group from Brooklyn, NY. MGMT consists of Andrew Vanwyngarden (vocals and guitar) and Ben Goldwasser (keyboard and synths) who both met while attending Wesleyan University and began making beautiful music together. Their first album was on Cantora Records and was entitled "Time to Pretend-EP" their second full length album was released on the major label Columbia Records and is entitled "Oracular Spectacular." They make amazing music and you should go get their album right away. They are also both very attractive.

Formally known as The Management.
An amazing band whos psychedelic music can be appreciated by a large audience.

They don't care if they're labeled indie, they just want their music to be heard. To quote band member Andrew VanWyngarden, "The Rolling Stones weren't an indie band." So before you decided to tell someone they aren't a true fan just because they heard MGMT on TV, shut up.

Before you let the label of "psychedelic" turn you off, listen to one of their songs. I suggest Boogie Down, Kids, and Destrokk.
Example:
MGMT has been signed to a label, named Artist of The Day by Spin Magazine, and made Rolling Stones Top 10 Artist to Watch - but they're still themselves.

Mgmt (previously known as The Management)is a growingly popupar band originally listened to by college kids. It takes a really cool open minded person to truly appreciate their music.

MGMT consists of Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldhasser, and hails from Brooklyn NY.

Their music is like nothing you've ever heard. In fact there is almsot no way to define it. Instead of gloryfying dead rock bands like other present bands, they take it all the way back to the hippie days.

Many bands today will try to claim their music as experimental or different but THIS, my good friend, is what someone can truly call epic.

You may have heard some of their songs on MTVU, 21, etc. but this hasn't changed the band in the least bit. They weren't even planning on going mainstream in the first place. Because the truth is, their music is best enjoyed when you discover it yourself...


PS:
If you call yourself a fan of theirs because you heard Time to Pretend on Gossip Girl, then you're here for the wrongest reasons.
Example:
It isn't alternative or power-pop, no, those are labels for pretentious "rock" bands like Metro Station.

The closest way to define MGMT's music would be "psychadellic".

One of the best bands of our generation.
The bandmates are the very attractive, Andrew VanwynGarden and Ben Goldwasser.
Andrew and Ben are seen as these 2 pot heads, who make weird music and music videos.
But, these two are actually quite intelligent and funny individuals who make psychedelic yet beautiful music.

Most people know their hits, Kids, Time to Pretend and Electric feel, but they've made so many more beautiful songs its crazy.

Andrew Vanwyngarden is one of the most sexiest man alive, his wit, intelligence, musical excellence and humor makes him even more likable. Oh and his headbands are amazing.

Ben Goldwasser is quite attractive too. He's a musical genius, his voice is super cute, and just is super likable all around. Ben is intriguing, and really calm and cool.
