Deceiving a person or people to somehow watch, or see the "Never Gonna Give You Up" video by Rick Astley.
Rick Rolling can also be a real life act of the music clip - normally by playing the song and having an impostor sing or dance to the video. Thus "Rick Rolling" the unsuspecting audience.
It is popular on video's that promise exclusive footage - such as a GTA4 gameplay, Or Halo3 exclusive.
Example:
Someone just came into the stadium dressed as Rick Astley and danced, while the music was playing. We all got Rick Rolled.

Or

Clicking the link to a video of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up", thus being Rick Rolled.

"Rick rolled" is a phrase used when one send you a link, possibly disguising it, that shows you to the music video Rick Astley- Never Gonna Give You Up. It can vary what video it actually sends you, it could be a video that says "Pretty ocean waves" and then BAM!! you just got Rick Rolled.
Example:
Friend: Hey dude what's the homework tonight?

You: This is the homework: *Link*

Friend: *clicks link*

Rock Roll, Rick ROlled, or Rick Rolled

The process or act of posting a link or attatchment to a Rick Astley video such as "Never gonna give you up" Then by you clicking on it, you have just been Rick Rolled

Usually disguised as something else such as "Check out my new car"

Accredited to a popular car forum, bimmerforums.com often discussed as not funny and completly absurd it still has the comedic value to change any subject or lighten up the harshest of moods.
Example:
"Hey guys check out my video of my car"

A polite way of telling someone that they are WAY too gullible into believing everything they see. Usually this is brought about by someone mentioning something interesting that the other person would like to see. And instead of giving a link to that item, they give a link to the music video, "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley. And at that point, they have been Rick Rolled. This term is so popular it is now coined in Wikipedia.

Google, "rick rolled" to see it appear there.
