sclera
sclera Is known by most people as the white of the eye. In some animals the sclera is black, but in humans its white. It contains
collagen and other elastic fibers which serve as a layer to protect the more delicate structures within the eye and maintains the round shape of the eye (helps resist against external forces applied to the eye). The sclera also provides a base on which the
orbital muscles muscles are attached.
