tip-off

A tip off is a
handy piece of information given by one to another. Tip-offs have been used in history (see the examples).
Example:
Regular tip-off;
"Look out Bill, he's a Queer."
Historical tip-off;
"Look, here, Hitler has said
Peace in our time!"
"Nah, bollocks
nev, he's a Queer."

Example:
My friendship with
Jones changed forever.
What happened?
...A
tip-off...
Wow, that must have been a
hard time. I mean a rough time.
hop off tip

If someone says to you "hop off
____'s tip," it simply means to
stop sucking their
d*ck. They're asking you to stop over-complimenting or over-hyping someone. Basically just to stop worshipping them in general. You never want to be too obsessed with someone, or else you will be told to hope off their tip. It is not used in a positive manner or in a good way.
Example:
Person #1: "Jake you are SO funny and SO hot! Can I please just be you?! You are literally the funniest person ever, oh my gosh. I love hanging out with you.
You're my favorite person ever!"
Person #2: "Dude you are sucking
Jake's d*ck, hop off tip!"
