A majority that is *significantly* greater than half.As a rule of thumb, any majority greater than 75% is a vast majority.

a word commonly over and misused in reference to anglo-saxons as a means of keeping dominant the institutionalized racism, and sexism that exists throughout the world.

Example:
when vast majority is applied in terms of race, generally it is in reference to white people, and people of color as usually regarded as the minority. Think globaly, and re-asess your opinion.
