Anime or Manga meant to break your heart, filled with love triangles, betrayals, and darkness. Filled with bishounen, and required by japanese law to have at least one shounen-ai relationship in the series.Shoujo

Taken inspiration from how Vtuber Hoshimachi Suisei uses the word “Shounen” to describes a male animanga body archetype distinct from your usual Shota, Ui decided to make a female version of the word.

Anime, manga, or fanfic that depicts non-explicit lesbian relationships. Usually focuses on the romantic/ loving/ emotional side of the relationship, unlike yuri which focuses on the passionate/ lustful/ physical side. Usually no more than PG-13 rated.

shoujo sparkles
n. pl. light of unknown origin radiating from the forms of female characters in shoujo manga, so as to designate their inherent inner (and possibly outer) beauty. A relative of the Bishounen Tailwind phenomenon, in which pretty, androgynous boys in anime are followed by a constant breeze that causes their hair and/or clothes to ripple at appropriate moments of drama.

A type of anime/manga dealing with girl x girl love. As shounen ai is about boys in love, shoujo ai is about girls in love. Not hentai

shoujo ai
The female equivelant of shonen ai. A female/female romance with an emphasis on the 'cute' aspect. No porn, no sex scenes, just adorableness.
