A fantastic British Alternative Rock Band(experimented with many different genres by now), band consists of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion. They have released 6 studio albums to date, Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head, X and Y, Viva La Vida or Death and all his Friends, Mylo Xyloto, and their latest being Ghost Stories in 2014. All the members are very talented and have equal parts in most songs. Coldplay has their own unique sound and every one of their albums has it's own unique sound which is fucking awesome, seriously they have never made the same album twice. One of the biggest selling acts of the 2000s so far. Liked by many by Criticized by some on here that for some reason hate music that isn't all repetitive pop bullshit, so kindly suck my ass if you don't like them. Have songs that are slow and mellow but still great, and also really high energy songs. Also are amazing live. Major hits include Viva la Vida, Clocks, Paradise, The Scientist, Yellow, Fix You, Speed of Sound, A Sky Full Of Stars

Possibly the most overrated band in the history of modern popular music, next to the beatles. Their music is nice to listen to, but not very musically dynamic and gets tiresome quickly. All their songs are "engineered" to sound perfect and evoke some kind of emotional response. These guys wouldn't know improvisation if it hit them in the face. And they play short concerts now that they're superstars. A fad that will surely fade soon.
