Playful banter usually, but not
restricted, with members of the opposite sex. This usually includes a conscious desire to flatter the one being flirted with.
Flirting is a core aspect of many relationships today between a boy and a girl.
Girls are often caught
flirting with each other. In this context, it is usually not intended sexually but playfully.
Nearly all accounts of flirting include subtle sexual innuendos and, to the unexperienced, can sometimes seem harmless.
Example:
BAD: "
LAWL YOU'RE HAWT"
GOOD: "
Guuuurl, if you were Sprite, I'd obey my thirst ;)"

When a guy likes a girl, or a girl likes a guy, that they don't know too well, they will flirt with them to put themselves in a better light. They can also bullshit slightly to make themselves look better without thinking about the long term effects of
the lie.
It is extreemly painful for someone's ex to hear that the person they've just broken up with is
flirting with someone else and just letting them find out
the hard way.
