Teenager
A funny age, where you're not quite a child -
not quite an adult. Little kids think it's cool to be a teenager (it isn't). Adults assume we're all dumb fuckers who get drunk on
benches and cause trouble (not all of us). People always say if a teenager is unhappy or going through a tough time, it's down to
hormones. How irritating for someone to say this, when you're going through genuine problems. A lot of us have major worries. School, jobs, family, relationships, friends, the way we look - there's a lot of expectations thrown upon us. Excuse us for not being jolly 24/7. We're also very well aware, the choices we make today will affect the rest of our lives. The last thing we want is to grow up to be old and bitter; full of regret! Just cut us some
slack, please. Most of us are decent human beings!

Someone between the age of 13 to
19.
Stereotypes show that they have very active sex drives and love drugs, but this is not true for most. They are constant victims of
ageism, treated like children but expected to act like adults.
Example:
Teenager 1: Hey move over
Adult: I am going to check your
backpack to make sure you aren't hiding any marijuana in there.
Teenager: STFU I'm not some
drug addict selling drugs, you have been
brainwashed by society to think that way, I'm innocent!!!

Example:
Im 17, and I look around and see all of these people (teenagers)
moping around, I tell them that we live like kings and they
shrug me off and tell me about how bad their life is because, for example, they got dumped.
Teenagers aren't mentally ready, or responsible for relationships.
Love at first sight? No, lust at first sight my good gentlemen, there is a difference.

Example:
Samantha should be able to handle all her
AP class homework, so if she doesnt
I'll take her phone away and ground her. Then again, she is just
a teenager

A young person who should not be treated like a stereotype, a child, or an adult, because he or she is neither. Instead, a person should treat a teenager like they have no idea
what the word 'teenager' means or implies and thereby approach them with no preconceptions at all,
basing their interaction on how said teenager acts or reacts. Never treat more than one teenager in the same way because they are all teenagers and thereby
predictable. Teenagers are nothing more than people and should be treated as such; hence, individuals whom you could stand to learn more about before judging.
Example:
A woman walks in on her husband playing a video game to
cool off after
a long day at work. "Stop being such a
teenager!" she yells.

Often want to belong somewhere, or to something
at any rate. Most, I admit, are grumpy, rebellious, lo-life. But some are GREEEAATTT!
But please, please, listen to them! They often have a lot of very interesting things to say and are lovely peeps :).
Most definitions are extremely biased, and very hypocritical. They describe teenagers as grumpy,
whinging kids. But if you say that, it's something along the lines of:
Pot calling the kettle black ;)
