The Five
A group of five of the sexiest girls around. They are often seen laughing or bitching people out. Usually there are two blondes and three brunettes. They are the power group of their generation. These girls like to team up and tear people apart. Or they can be the sweetest most innocent girls around.. depending on their surroundings. They enjoy eating, shopping, partying, making others jealous, and going on vacations. They usually have the hottest boys hanging within
10 feet of them. There is usually one powerfully smart girl,
one deep lyrical girl, one slutty athletic girl, one innocent humorous girl, and one wild
spokesperson of the group. They each add something different but when the 5 of them are together, they make everyone else seem like small background players in their
game of life. You will either love these girls or hate them purely because you are jealous.

Five by five is a radio communications expression that means 'loud and clear'. One of the fives represents the S units of reception strength. The other five is a rating of the signal clarity. Five by five is a good, clear signal. The radio use of this expression goes back to the 1950s: "'All right, testing, one-two-three-four. . .' 'Five by five, Mr. Holloran!'" (Hunter,
Blackboard Jungle, 1954).
The more metaphorical meaning, popularized by
Faith Lehane from the television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, wasn't recorded until the 1980s.
The use of the word is primarily used in the military, or when discussing something similar.

Term meaning everything is OK.
The term comes from
old radio slang. When communicating over radio, the operator would report the strength and clarity of
the signal on a scale of 1 to 5 each. Therefore, if a radio operator described the signal as "five by five" it meant it was both
loud and clear.

Originally an
aeronautical term that is the equivalent to the modern "Loud & Clear". In slang usage, it means "great, fine"; popular in New England, it was made famous in "Buffy:
the Vampire Slayer" from its overuse by
the rogue slayer Faith.
Five-Five-Fiving
by DeusExMagna on Nov 21, 2005 07:49:08
Verb -- Freaking out or tripping on drugs, usually psychadelic mushrooms or hallucenogens.. Inspired by the song "Five-Five-Five," by
Frank Zappa. The instrumentals tend to inspire people to take drugs. Once in a state of inebriation, the
maddening guitar riffs of "Five-Five-Five" make Phish look like O'Dweeds compared to the wicked buzz you cop from Frank's Fiver. Which is ironic, because Frank Zappa was very much against drugs.
Also simply referred to as Fiving, rolling with Frank's bunch, or
2F.
Example:
"Yeah, man, I was totally Five-Five-Fiving it last night with
Frank's bunch. Had like, fifty mushrooms and some beer, man. It was like getting a year's worth of pussy in four minutes. Uh... what was I talkin' about, man?"
"No way! You were
2F without me, man!? Dude, I so hate you now! Just kididng, brah."
