Coined by the website instafamous.pro and their hashtag #instafamous it refers to gaining a mass amount of followers on the Instagram app so that you become bit of a celebrity on the app.

Usually there are brand collabs involved with little return on investment for the brands paying for product placement. The majority are women who think they're attractive or at the very least look good in yoga pants.
