An angsty band popular among kids who shop at Hot Topic and have pent up anger. The most popular of their lyrics, "Craaaaaaaaawwwwwwling in my skiiiiiiin", is very popular among gaming messageboards, where people sub lyrics from other songs and lines from movies with that lyric.
Example:
Bob: Substitute a line from a movie or a lyric from another song with "Craaaaaaaaawwwwwwling in my skiiiiiiin".
Sam: Alright. Here's Napoleon Dynamite.
"Do the chickens have large talons Craaaaaaaaawwwwwwling in my skiiiiiiin?"

Band that i liked from 6th to 8th grade when i relized how annoying their screaming gets after awhile.
they wouldnt be so bad if they didnt scream so much.
Example:
Me in 6th grade, "Wow I love Linkin Park they are awesome."

Me now, "Wow Linkin Park sucks cock, their fuckin screaming is really annoying."

Also known as "linkin crap" because of their huge (lack of) talent. An mtv band like many others that suddendly appeared on the charts, and suddendly disappeared.
They played a style called "nu-metal", an abreviation for "newb-metal", a style that was born when teenagers who didn't even know how to play decently an instrument tried to compose songs like real metal bands like Megadeth, Iron Maiden, etc. The result could only be a disaster.
Example:
male A: Hi sweetheart!
male B: Hi cutie!
male A: what are you listening to?
male B: linkin park! man they're so hot. their singer screams so loud..it seems like he's being sodomized.. and that brings great memories of you and me..
male A: yes...i'll never forget that night and that garden..

A stupid corporate "rap/rock" band that teenage girls and confused boys listen to.

They come from Agura Hills, California (Probably the whitest and most middle-class city in Los Angeles County), and currently live, from what I've heard, in Orange County (No explanation needed). They all grew up, white, (I guess for the rapper, Japanese) privileged, middle-class teenagers, so what on earth could they possible be angry about?

Nothing, yet all the pre-teens eat it up, constantly buying they're crappy merchandise (There's SO much of it) and they're bland albums.

And BTW, they have the worst lyrics of any band EVER. They're corny, predictable, and my god what a horrible rapper.
Example:
The only reason Linkin Park is famous is because it's accessible. They're melodies and choruses are catchy, and since they're not talking about controversial topics (Like Rage against the machine) all of the soccer moms let they're kids listen to them.

And no, they're not metal. I don't care if they're Electronica or Nu metal or whatever, real metal is NEVER corporate...

A heavily overrated band that teenaged somehow depressed suburban kids "connect" to. All their songs is lyrically and musically the same. The band lacks diversity and skill and their rapper sucks he is not even a good rapper in rock terms with the using of same words perfusely and and runs one detail of one subject to the ground. Face it kids they suck and you know it, go listen to some good music like Stone Temple Pilots, RATM, Faith No More, shit even some Foo Fighters and Audioslave will do.
Example:
LP fan : Linkin Park rocks their music is the soundtrack of my life.

Smart induvidual: dude, you live in the fucking suburbs why are you depressed dumbass. I have to worry about getting shot in my hood. quit posing bastard.

-Everything that is wrong with radio, music on television, and America.
-They ruin eveyone's day when they come on the radio, because the only thing worse than a punk-emo band is a nu-metal emo band....that thinks they can rap.
-Their fanbase generally consists of suburban 'rebel' teens who started listening to LP in response to N'Sync and Creed.
Of course, Linkin Park is no better than Creed or Nickelback, etc.
-Apparently Linkin Park makes them feel hard & streetwise, as their fans are usually snotty, hot topic shoppers, who empower the capitalist machine by buying the crappy corporate music and clothing pushed to them.

Dude 1- Man this mosquito has been buzzing round my ear all day and it's annoyin the shit outta me!
Dude 2- No dude, that is just Linkin Park, they've been on the radio all day ever since they sucked Rupert Murdoch's dick.
