sociopath

A sociopath is a person with a personality disorder. It is a person who would occasionally show charm and charisma now and they only care about themselves. They would lie and blame stuff they did on other people and always attempt to hurt or harass other people.

sociopath
A person with antisocial personality disorder. Probably the most widely recognized personality disorder. A sociopath is often well liked because of their charm and high charisma, but they do not usually care about other people. They think mainly of themselves and often blame others for the things that they do. They have a complete disregard for rules and lie constantly. They seldom feel guilt or learn from punishments. Though some sociopaths have become murders, most reveal their sociopathy through less deadly and sensational means.

sociopath
A layperson's term for somebody with antisocial personality disorder: somebody who lacks a conscience. This is somebody who knows right from wrong, but doesn't care because he/she does not think in those terms; they care about their own benefit, regardless of who is in the way.
The sociopath is very often thought of as a serial killer, but that represents only a small portion of them; sociopaths can be anybody.
Sociopaths come in these basic types:
Common: A simple lack of conscience and lack of proper integration into society, they're feral children grown up.
Alienated: Alienated from other people, they have trouble empathizing with others.
Aggressive: Comes with a consistent sadistic streak.
Dissocial: Abides by gang rules and morals that antagonize mainstream society.

The sociopath generally holds at least three of the following seven traits:
1. Failure to conform to social norms, including behavior that warrants arrest.
2. Deception; they're glib, pathological liars, and manipulators, often use false names.
3. Impulsive behavior; failure to plan ahead.
4. Irritable and aggressive, frequent fights or attacks.
5. Reckless disregard for the safety of self or others.
6. Consistently irresponsible; their work behavior is often inconsistent, they can be catastrophic parents.
7. Without remorse; will justify stealing or hurting others ("if you hadn't dressed like that, I wouldn't have raped you").
Example:
Unlike psychopaths, who are have fearlessly reckless temperaments, don't feel stress, and are nearly impossible to socialize, sociopaths are generally made and have relatively normal temperaments and are more easily agitated. Most sociopaths are the result of overburdened, inadequate parents and the wrong set of peers and an unstable environment, but can be properly socialized in better settings with stable, competent parents and adequately adjusted peers. The psychopath is found in every social class while the sociopath is generally from poor neighborhoods. The psychopath feels nothing for others but will care for others if it suits their purpose while the sociopath can feel empathy and remorse in specific contexts; the psychopath's crimes tend to be meticulous while the sociopath's crimes tend to be sloppy and erratic; the psychopath can escape undetected for years while the sociopath is more easily discovered.

sociopath
A wolf in sheep's clothing. An antisocial and opportunistic person who lacks moral judgement and character but has the keen ability to identify and take advantage of the weaknesses of others. They often blame society for their shortcomings and view themselves as a victim. They may come across as charming and charasmatic, but are predators in disguise. Once their true colors are shown, they often posses such traits as narcisim, insecurity, dishonesty, violence, jealousy, and victimizing oneself. Interestingly, most sociopaths have a high degree of intelligence or "street" smarts.
Example:
Many serial killers qualify as a sociopath.

sociopath
A vague term used to define a person with any one of a range of antisocial or dissocial behaviors. A sociopath is usually disconnected from other people on an emotional level and is incapable of experiencing empathy.

Sociopaths are not necessarily immoral or amoral people, however, and can function well in certain positions where a lack of empathy is advantageous. For example, moral sociopaths make good court judges because they interpret the law as it is and treat the people involved as objects. Moral sociopaths also make good doctors in the sense they treat the patient as an object to be repaired and do not let emotions distract them or interfere with their work.

Sociopaths can, of course, lack morals and in this way tend to engage in amoral or immoral acts of self interest. This type of sociopath is dangerous on some levels as they tend not to view other people as "real" people and have no problem killing or harming them.
Example:
The sociopath felt nothing as the woman in front of him was assaulted.

As the desperate young mother cried out at the proclamation she was guilty, the sociopathic judge looked on disassociated and devoid of feeling.

sociopath
A very dangerous person. A wolf in sheep’s clothing. A master deceiver. They are perceived as a nice guy with charm and perhaps charisma but when the layers of the truth are peeled back they are evil, opportunitstic and lack character. A sociopath may look like this:

They are opportunistic and use their keen ability to read people to take advantage of a person’s weakness. They have an error in judgement and have no regard for rules. Their extreme egocentricism makes them do whatever they must to get what they want without regard for other people. They are manipulative. Their character flaw seldom makes them feel guilt or learning from punishments. They always justify their actions. They lack personal responsibility and blame others for their shortcomings, labeling themselves the “victim.” Many sociopaths are also pathalogical liars and can have a tendancy to commit acts of violence.
Example:
Most serial killers fit the personality trait of a sociopath.

sociopath
A person who in a state of mind, where their brain can justify almost/any actions they do or take. I say state of mind because it has been known for a person to be normal sometimes and a a sociopath at others. These "Metamorphisis sociopaths" might be the most dangerous type because they can hide themselves from being discovered as one by staying normal.
Example:
The girl in the play "The bad seed" was one of the highest fourms of a sociopath. Or "Jekel and Hyde" could've been a "Metamorphisis Sociopath."

sociopath
1: a word that every one always seems to confuse with 'psychopath'

2: sociopaths are people who CAN genuinely feel shame, remorse and empathy but only if a mental "criteria" of sorts are met unlike psychopaths who are completely devoid of empathy. an example of this is "criteria" is family members. many sociopaths can honestly feel empathy towards family but none at all toward a class-mate or co-worker. this "criteria" can vary massively sociopath to sociopath. many use there lack of emotion toward the greater of society to help them achieve some kind of goal like making loads of money or getting a high ranking political position. this also varys alot sociopath to sociopath.
Example:
1: due too politics and religion no one seems to have the slightest idea what the difference between 'sociopath' and 'psychopath' is...

2: im a sociopath. i will un-empathetically destroy your life if it helps me achieve my sole goal of helping make my friends and family happier. i as a sociopath am not pure evil either. ive done 'mean things' to some of my loved ones and genuinely and empathetically cried my heart out. ive also done the same things to people like you and not even felt a thing.

sociopath
Despite what you would initially think, Despite what you would initially think, sociopaths can experience love. "However, it's not the same kind of love that a 'normal' person experiences," Dr. Darrel Turner, president of Turner Psychology, tells Bustle, "For the sociopath, the experience of love is much more shallow and less meaningful." They view relationships in "self-serving terms" so they're more likely to see their partner as a "trophy" rather than someone they love and are committed to.

More often than not, their partner will describe a relationship with them as "cold" or "distant." When a sociopath is in a relationship, they may use certain phrases that will help them to control or manipulate their partner. can experience love.
