tryhard

An individual that tries. Hard.This is not in reference to those that are scholastically ambitious, or put effort into sports. No, no. This is a strong, biting description of someone that obviously thinks a whole lot about their public image - fashion, vernacular, taste, etc. Such a person tends to fit very neatly into a particular pigeon hole - typically, a subculture. A tryhard is pathetically hyper-aware and irredeemably lame in their awareness and internalizing of all things external and obvious.

1: Someone trying hard to fit in with their crushes friends to get to their crush, only to dump all of his/her friends after achieving so.

2: A person who is mad for having a higher death ratio on their kdr and decides to throw all their anger towards some innocent kids trying to have fun.

3: A person who tries hard to be popular and to be known by using his or her friends by putting them through the extreme. And like 1, dumps them after achieving so.
Example:
1 Tryhard: Just because I talk to her friends, does not make me a tryhard!
Suspicious: Yeah, and is it such a coincidence you call out to your "friends" when she talks to them?
Tryhard: Shut up, you don't know anything! You just like to assume shit!
Suspicious: Oooh, looks like we have a salted ulcer!

2 Tryhard: HEY, WHAT THE FUCK!? I JUST FUCKING DIED.

A person/people who simply try far too hard to fit in with you i.e. over the top laughing at jokes which arent particularly funny, name-dropping etc.
