A7x

A7x is a shortened name for avenged sevenfold who are a metal band from Huntington Beach, California. The band consists of the four remaining members who are M. Shadows(vocals), Synyster Gates(Lead guitar), Zacky Vengeance(Rhythm guitar), Johnny Christ(Bassist). Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan(Ex-drummer) died on December 28th 2009. Avenged sevenfold replaced The Rev with Dream theaters drummer Mike Portnoy who helped release and toured in support for their newest album Nightmare which was released on July 27th 2010 through Warner Bros. Records, The Revs vocals were pre recorded for the album for the songs Fiction and Save me. Mike Portnoy was then replaced by Arin Llejay(2011-present)Nightmare was placed first in the Billboard 200 and got Golden God Award "Album of the year"Albums(in order of release)Sounding the Seventh Trumpet (2001)Waking the Fallen (2003)City of Evil (2005)Avenged Sevenfold (2007)Nightmare (2010)Avenged Sevenfold also appear in the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops game mode Zombies, the song titled "Not Ready To Die" appears in Map Pack 2-Call Of The Dead.To date, Avenged Sevenfold has released five studio albums, one live album/compilation/DVD, and eighteen singles and sold more than four million album worldwide. The band has received much credit for their worldwide mainstream success and were featured as second place on Ultimate Guitar's Top Ten Bands of the Decade.

The A7x Clan, named after the popular band Avenged Sevenfold, was originally formed in 2004 as an online clan for the game Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow for the PlayStation 2. At the time, the clan consisted of only three members: Venge, Quiet, and Damon. Soon, though, the group's reputation spread, and new players began to join the group. At its peak, the A7x clan has had as many as a dozen members at one time. Since then, members have come and gone. Still the clan plans to continue playing the series, even into the next generation of gaming.

A newer band that combines hardcore, punk and metal. One category they're often put into is "Melodic Hardcore". Two albums - Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and Waking the Fallen. Extremely poetic, deep, rich and beautiful lyrics. Sick, fast-paced drumming. Long, epic, well-planned out songs. An incredible band all-together.

Songs to check out: Unholy Confessions, Chapter Four, I Won't See You Tonight Pts 1 & 2. Those are all from Waking the Fallen, which I'd say is the better album.

A7X is short for Avenged Sevenfold the band that clashes metal and punk into one awesome fucking sound. The cool thing about this band is they can play on ozzfest or the warped tour, either way they fit in. I would prefer them to be on ozzfest, but oh well. Their new cd, Waking The Fallen, sounds more nu metal than punk..I think anyways. People may not like them because of the fact that they are clashing two different types of music...if they don't like a7x then fuck them.

Another term for the band Avenged Sevenfold, a unique mixture of hardcore and metal with musical talent beyond comparrison shown on songs such as "I wont see you tonite Part 1"
Example:
I saw a7x play the othernite and it was crazy. I had never seen a larger crowd nor heard better music.

avenged sevenfold are very original compared to some of the bands of today. they clash metal, hardcore, and punk all into one unique style. they have influences from Pantera to NoFX to Queen, and that is what makes them the kick ass band that they are.
the line up is M. Shadows- vocals, Synyster Gates-lead guitar, Zacky Vengeance- rhythm guitar, Johnny Christ-bass, The Reverend- drums.

This band can play both Ozzfest and Warped tour, they will fit in anywhere.
Example:
The first A7X CD, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, is more punk/hardcore. The second CD, Waking the Fallen, is more on the metal side.
