Beatles
The divine pantheon of all things Hippie.Consists of:- John Lennon: the God of Social Commentary and Hard Drugs- Paul McCartney: God of Vegetarianism and Strawberries- George Harrison: the God of Meditation and Sunshine- Ringo Starr: the God of Peace, Love and Sentient LocomotivesAccording to the Ancient Hippie Mythology, John Lennon hatched from an egg laid by the Walrus, and
guitared the rest of the universe into existence. In an eternal strawberry field, he watered a stereo-box for number-nine days and number-nine nights, until the stereo box hatched, and out climbed Paul McCartney. George Harrison was likewise formed from a drop of sun. But the Band longed for a bloody good drummer. Then, an octopus
laid an egg that was hatched under a steam engine, and Ringo Starr was born.Devout followers of
Beatlemania will be rewarded in the afterlife,
ferried by Mr. Conductor to the Yellow Submarine, which will take them to their eternal home of
Pepperland. Sinners, however, will be rounded up by th *other* Mr. Conductor (Alec Baldwin) and shipped off to the sh*tty TV
cartoon's universe to spend eternity in agony.

Stu Sutcliffe (who died in Hanburg, Germany in the early 1960s), and
Pete Best (who was ousted from the band); gained fame as John, Paul, George, and Ringo Starr. Appeared in America in February, 1964 on the Ed Sullivan Show as the beginning of the British Invasion. Initially managed by
Brian Epstein, who died in the late 1960s. Broke up in 1970 but during their tenure as an act released some 150 songs in multiple languages and has since been considered the greatest and most influential rock band in the history of the world.

The most famous group of stoners who ever lived, and the one band that damn near everyone can agree is good to listen to.
The famous band featured everything from
chaste love songs to bad drug trips, as well as:
* John Lennon as
the Walrus
* George Harrison as the Tough-Guy-Turned-Wizard
* Paul McCartney as the Undead Cinnamon Roll
*
Ringo Starr as the Unidentified Flying Cupcake
* And Sir Not Appearing in Anyone's Memories

The most successful band of all time. Formed in the late 1950's in Liverpool, England and rising to popularity in 1962 in the UK and 1964 in the USA they are, arguably, the most influential band ever. The band comprised of John Lennon, Paul
McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. Most of their songs were self-penned by Lennon and McCartney with George Harrison contributing as a solo songwriter to a lesser extent. During their heyday The Beatles fans produced scenes of hysteria all over the world which the press defined as 'Beatlemania'. They broke up in 1970 and each went on to have a successful solo career. John Lennon was shot and killed in New York in December 1980 and George Harrison died of brain cancer in November 2001. McCartney, Harrison and Starr reformed briefly in 1995 to record some tracks using demo tapes that John Lennon produced in the late 70's for their
retrospective Anthology series. The Beatles songs include Yesterday, Hey Jude,
I Want to Hold Your Hand, She Loves You and Something among others.
