Slang term for the westernmost interchange on the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) in Chicago. Three lanes of Interstate 290 narrow to two and three lanes of Interstate 88 narrow to one, to form three lanes of the Eisenhower. The "strangling" effect of merging two three-lane freeways into one three-lane freeway often creates huge traffic jams, thus its notoriety as the "hillside strangler."
Hillside NJ
Hillside NJ is a middle class suburb filled with Portuguese and Africans bisected by Route 22. Its Westminster district is home to the wealthiest members of the town. The parents are largely blue collar with a smattering of white collar workers.

A major 4 lane avenue in Queens NY that starts off at Myrtle Avenue in Richmond Hill Queens and goes all the way to Nassau County. Runs parrell to Jamaica Avenue throughout much of its stretch, Hillside avenue is also a very busy street with alot of stuff on it.

An area located within El Sereno in East Los Angeles, CA (see El Sereno). Composed primarily of single family residences, Hillside Village is considered by many to be a more desireable place to live than surrounding El Sereno, and the nicest area of all of East Los Angeles.

Hillside, NJ is a middle and upper middle class town of mostly Portuguese and Africans bisected by Route 22 and a set of train tracks. There is a small Jewish presence as well as a growing Hispanic presence. Upperclass residents either live in the more ostentatious Westminster section or invest a lot into designing the interior of their homes in the rest of Hillside as to not draw attention. Teens hang out at at Central Avenue Park ,Short Hills Mall, Jersey Gardens Mall, or inside homes playing video games. Both parents work so there's very little fraternizing with neighbors beyond small talk.
