This is the source of the troglodyte's confidence, as it leads many to believe they have the power to shape reality.

There are many ways to deal with troglodytes, the most reliable being disengagement. You may also attempt discourse with a troglodyte, but their reliance on insults and circular logic makes them difficult to best in a verbal altercation.

In his telling you what's wrong with the U.S. and the way things ought to be, he could endlessly expand this definition without even knowing he is doing so.

A person who is regarded as being deliberately ignorant, old-fashioned, or bias. Entrenched in their own ideology to the extent they can't see the forest for the trees.

A person that tends to stay inside for most of the day, usually glued to their chair browsing internet forums. Troglodytes also tend to refuse real social interaction and prefer speaking to people through VOIP applications and instant messaging.
