Avril Lavigne is someone who isn't liked by very many people because she's a "poser". I'll admit that although she might be a nice person I'm not a fan of her personallity as she contradictis herself a lot by saying in one interview "I can play guitar" and in another "I can't play guitar worth shit". same thing with skating. I do however like her music. but most people think she sucks because of her personallity and the things she says. but what they need to do is judge not by personallity but by music. if they think the music sucks then yes hate away but don't hate on a band or singer because of personallity. that's just stupid. download something of hers. see for yourself. but I figured that someone in here needed to put down something at least a little bit good.

I'm not a fan of hers, but I'm standing up for her. People say she's a poser because she dressed like a punk but didn't sing punk music. Eh, its your fault for judging her on what she wears. She never EVER said she was singing punk music. Secondly, songwriting skills. She's 21, and she writes her own music. Of course it won't be brilliant, it's not easy to write songs, espcially at 21. (Unless you are Bob Dylan So lay off her songwriting. People say she's a poser because she changed her dress. Uhm, how much did you change YOUR style from age 16 to 21? A lot, I'm damn sure.
Thirdly, I like how she...wears (gasp!) clothes! And she and that guy from Sum 41 are cute.

A young woman who writes the most awesome music ever. I know people think the only ones who listen to her music are 9-12 year old girls, but I know of several older girls and boys who like her music. Don't be so hard on her. She is not afraid to express herself how she wants to and should not be critisized for that.

Looks very cute with or without makeup.Often labeled as wanna be punk rocker cause of her first cd. she changed her style with her second cd which is popular rock.By the way most good punk music is crap.offspring and greenday and stone temple pilots if they are punk are the best of the punk genre groups the rest suck. avril has a nice voice acupella and even better in the studio with voice enhancing techniques.
