Nightmare Before Christmas

A very good Tim Burton film. It has a cute, juvenile charm to it due to the fact that the main character Jack Skellington (the Pumpkin King) is child-like and unaware of anything outside Halloween Town. (Please note that I did not see this movie until I was twelve, and have only actually liked it since 09's Halloween, so if my definition seems a tad off, that's why.)The animation is beautifully done, and the music is fun to listen to (except Sally's song... That was just annoying.) Again, the juvenile charm of the whole film is so endearing it's hard for me to imagine why people hate it that so many kids in their early teens enjoy this movie- it brings out the inner child that kids 11-14 know they need to hold onto, even though they want to grow out of it.All in all, an enjoyable film with a very creative idea, and a main character who is likeable, if a bit naive.

Heading eastbound on SR50 just outside of Orlando FL, the 'Nightmare Before Christmas' is what some people call the town of Bithlo. Shortly after exiting Bithlo, you enter the town of Christmas, FL.
Example:

The best fucking movie EVER. Based off a poem by God himself, Tim Burton. Ruined by the Nightmare Revisited CD and all the crappy wanna-be emo-goths who have never seen the movie and only like it because it's "dark."

To those of us who have been watching our entire lives (when it was still on VHS) and love it for it's amazing singing, animation and everything else, THANK YOU.

Nightmare (1993) is an EPIC stop-animation flick co-directed and written by Tim Burton, and based on a poem of his creation. Like any Burton movie, the visuals are absolutely STUNNING in their dark and dreamy ways, and Danny Elfman, who composed the music and gave our much loved Jack Skellington a voice to sing, just tied together this insane piece of perfection.

A kickass stop-animation movie, concieved by Tim Burton. He wrote a poem that the movie was based on, but wasnt too closely involved with it otherwise.

Danny Elfman did the music and sang for Jack Skellington. WONDERFUL songs in this movie.

Pitched as a kid's movie, but all can appreciate it.
It is currently the 10th anniversary, so go out and buy it on DVD!

Great movie,based on tim burtons poem.But this movie has been ruined for people who really do like it by all those wannabe goths that have turned it into the lastest movie to like.

1 wannabe goth:omg i love the nightmare before christmas!
2 wannabe goth: omg i love it too its the best, its so goth and deep.
Me:these kids are not even close to goth there only trying to be goth cause deep down there trendies,goth being the lastest trend at the moment.losers...

a decent movie which has been completely and utterly defiled by the numerous subcultures that have made it a cult classic and an object of obsession. the juvenile themes of the movie might be reflected by the below-average maturity level of a viewer consumed by said subcultures. merchandise portraying characters and other similar memorabilia are available at your local hot topic.
