A sense of dread, discomfort or unease about the future. Whether it be self-illness, or some other personal, possibly catastrophic event.

An imaginary condition invented by people who have no experience with using computers. Computers scare them, so they pretend the monitor makes their eyes or brain hurt so they can run away. c.f. motion sickness. Real people can sit in front of monitors for days at a time and feel no ill effects.
Example:
old lady: oo-er, this computer tv screen makes my eyes go a bit funny. I think I have that there monitor malaise.

monitor malaise
Monitor malaise can take two forms.
1) Falling into a stupor after staring at a particular document on your monitor for long periods. You know this has occurred when you realize you're reading every sentence two or three times, or your face has become hot and red where you've been resting it on your hand, or you've drooled on yourself (and this last is not a normal occurrence for you).
2) A feeling of being overwhelmed or confined to your desk (see stir crazy). You've been staring at the same project on your monitor for so long that you'll use any excuse to escape, even when you know that you should continue working.

The mounting anger associated when you break all the components of a canopy maliase trap while setting it up.
Example:

Malaise Era
The period from 1972 to 1996 (some would even say it ran all the way to 2008) where American car companies were making cars that were just awful. At first it was simply because the feds had enacted strict emissions regulations thanks to skyrocketing oil prices, but after those were lifted in 1983 the problem was simply lazy design and shittacular build quality.

A condition of general bodily weakness, vagueness and feelings of mental unease brought about by extended periods of study. Usual onset at exam time.
Example:
"With 3 exams done and 1 to go, John had such severe study malaise that he had spent the last 48 hours alternating between trawling through urbandictionary.com, downloading porn and staring blankly at the refrigerator"
