Silva has also been ranked as the top pound-for-pound by Sherdog (the largest MMA website).Silva has training in Muay Thai and Brazilian Ju-Jitsu. Silvas Nickname "The Spider" comes from his use of Muay Thai, a martial arts in where there are eight contact points of striking.
