A Reggae God and the
favorite son of Jamaica; popular from
the 70s through today; most people associate him only with marijuana although his music is really incredible; political activist,
rastafarian, ghetto rebel
Example:
A major problem with todays
uptight society is that his music is
written off as the rantings of a stoner, when in fact it really his songs spread the message of a rebel and
activist

Anybody who writes off
Bob Marley's music as the "rantings of a stoner", is either so closed-minded they will make judgments about things they know nothing about, or is simply stupid. Either way that person is fool #1.
Bob Marley was a great spiritual geezer, a wise man. He was outspoken about politics and spirituality, among other issues. He was originally a member of the Wailers, the nucleus of which was himself,
Peter Tosh, and Bunny
Wailer (aka Neville Livingston).

The greatest
reggae artist ever. Most people associate his name with weed, but it's just part of his religious beliefs (he's
Rastafarian). He was so great, there may still be a debate on whether his body should be kept by Jamaica or handed over to his
wife to be sent back to Africa. No other reggae artists can compare to him.
Example:
Wer'e Jammin,
jammin, jammin, jammin,
I wanna jam it with you.
Holy man Zion, Holy man Zion...
-Bob Marley (1945-1981)

Poser-Wannabe
Stoner : "Dude, I LOVE Bob Marley"
RandomPerson - "
Oh cool, what songs of his do you like?"
Poser-Wannabe Stoner : "
Uhhhh... that one about smoking weed..... "

One of the comtemporary artists of the 60's and 70's who rose to fame as a member of the Reggae group the Wailers. After the Wailers disbanded he became a solo artist. He spoke out against slavery, racism, and
social injustice in his. Marley was also actively engaged in Politics, Endorsed the
Rastafarian creed and was hated by certain individuals in his lifetime for some of his controversial opinions such as the
legalization of cannabis (marijuana).
Many stoners say that they can identify with the man, but in reality just use his message and religion as an excuse and justification for their pot habits. Which results in a lot of bias and ignorance towards him.
Example:
Group of Stoners: One
loooooooooove, One heeeeaarrt, let's get togetheer and feeeeeeeel alright. *each of them take a toke from a blunt*
Mentally Retarded Guy: Hey guys.
Stoners: EWWWW GET AWAY FROM US FREAK! GO DIE.
Bob Marley:
Emancipate yourselves from
mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds.
Stoner: I have no idea whatz dat meanzzz duuurrr, wtf is emanicipating?. Ohhhhh, i think hes telling us to smoke weed. "starts speaking patois*

A great man, who could have been compared to
god on earth. He was a political activist and a man of great music, know other reggae artist has had such an influential on the earth, he is on of the greatest lyric writers of all time.
Righting about oppression of black and working class people and how everyone should get a long in the world.
Chavs and other humans who don't know a lot about music mistake his music for
stoner music even though Bob Marley doesn't even mention cannabis in his music.
Example:
Bob Marley is a legend and one of the most popular
icons in the music industry ever he's first guy from
Jamaica to really make it and be noticed in world wide music.
