To "black flag".

Meaning to make a bet, and lose it. Then not follow through with the consequences.

Example:
YOU: "I'll make a bet that Carlton suck and miss the 8, loser has to suck Suzis penis."

BlackFlag: "Carlton will win the premiership you douche, i'll take your bet"

Carlton go on to stink up the entire competition, blackflag loses the bet, and ignores that the bet was ever placed. Making him a dirty welch and the lowest form of life in the universe.

Treated someone like the Welsh have been throughout history, that is ripped off. So the winner of a bet may recieve a welsh prize - nothing. From the outdated adjective welsh - meaning disadvantaged(in poverty and fate).

Example:
TheTruth : Yeah Dave did win the bet but I think he may be Welsh so it doesnt count.

'Welching' is the clunking of the base of a beer bottle or glass, whilst making various grunting or 'pirate-sounding' noises such as arrrrrr, or oarrrrr... etc etc. This is as opposed to 'clinking' or 'chinking' of the top of a bottle, and it perceived as far more masculine when in a group of lads who are all very drunk, and in agreement of a certain point of topic.

It is often accompanied by the raising of one's right elbow upwards, whilst making other peculiar noises, that would suggest that one has slightly lost the plot.

Example:
There was some serious welching going on last night!

When in agreement, one member calls out 'welching!' and group members proceed to welch in above said fashion.
