"Server" has many implication and definitions, once such definition is that of a game server which is a piece of hardware that allows for an instance of a game to be running. A server comes in many forms, some of which are dedication and ran as an individual piece of hardware, usually not having any displaying device and only utilising software to maximise the servers performance.
