It has lots of definitions and they are as follows—
Mama— traditionally it refers to 'maternal uncle.'

Mama— In Bengali, chiefly
Bangladeshi Bangla, it denotes to a any person except relatives, who may be a driver, a
shop keeper, a barber, or any adult individual of whatever occupation. The term is used in this way by Bangladeshi youngsters, college or uni students. On the contrary, the same way and for the same purpose, Bengali Indians prefer the term 'dada'.
